OBESITY MEDICINE SECTION

Aim:

• To be the global leader in advancing comprehensive care as the cornerstone of obesity management, transforming lives through multidisciplinary collaboration (with MBS and IH), scientific excellence, innovation, education, and advocacy.
• To foster a worldwide community of healthcare professionals committed to delivering equitable, evidence-based, person-centred care that recognises obesity as a complex chronic disease and empowers individuals living with obesity to achieve the best possible health, quality of life, and long-term outcomes.

Objectives:

• To develop and oversee the OM strategic plan
• To select the appropriate Regional and Committee Chairpersons and members
• To guide and support the Committees to deliver agreed tasks and objectives
• To develop the IFSO Obesity medicine network and grow the membership
• To liaise with IFSO Executive Board, IH Board and IFSO Chapters
